Paul Dewar - Director
Paul began his career with Bernina New Zealand as a technician, gaining a solid foundation in appliance repair. After seven years, he transitioned to the domestic appliance industry, where he honed his skills through workshop repairs before moving into field service as a Service Technician. In 2001, after eight years of industry experience, Paul and his wife, Jo, established Dewar Appliance Servicing Limited with a shared vision of delivering high-quality, reliable customer service.
Outside of work, Paul enjoys watching sports and movies, collecting and learning about Hot Wheels cars, and spending time with his family, often joining his sons for a game of rugby in the backyard. He and Jo have five children and five grandchildren.
Jo Dewar - Account Manager
Jo began her career in hospitality before co-founding Dewar Appliance Servicing Limited with her husband, Paul, in 2001. Over the years, she has furthered her expertise through studies in Business Management and Accounting, enhancing her contribution to the business. Jo now balances her time between working at Dewar Appliance Servicing part-time and working as a kindergarten teacher, following her passion for supporting and nurturing children.
In her spare time, Jo treasures moments with their five children and five grandchildren. She also enjoys relaxing with a good book, a cup of tea, and some chocolate, and shares her home with four beloved cats.
Rhys Dewar - Head Service Technician
Rhys holds a New Zealand qualification as an automotive mechanic. After several years working in a workshop, he sought a new challenge and joined Dewar Appliance Servicing Limited in 2013. His mechanical expertise has added great value to the team, and his exceptional customer service skills have led to his promotion as Technical Manager.
In his spare time, Rhys enjoys spending time with his three children, refurbishing his beloved classic Ford Falcon, and brewing his own beer.
Tom Fiddes - Service Technician
om joins the Dewar Appliance Servicing Limited team as an experienced automotive mechanic, bringing a passion for fault finding and resolving technical issues. He enjoys the hands-on aspect of working in the field and values the opportunity to meet customers directly. Known for his excellent customer service skills, Tom is attentive, reliable, and committed to getting the job done right.
Outside of work, Tom is a hands-on dad to his four children and enjoys spending time with his family. When he’s not at home, he likes tinkering in the garage and keeping fit at the gym. He is well supported by his wife and values family life highly.
Anita Williams - Office Manager
Anita brings exceptional management and customer service skills to the Dewar Appliance Servicing Limited team. With a background in retail, she understands the importance of listening carefully to find the right solutions and is always keen to further develop her skills.
Outside of work, Anita treasures time with her seven grandchildren and wider whānau. She is also an accomplished cake artist, creating beautiful cakes for family and friends.
Robyne Gough - Customer Care Representative
Robyne brings valuable administrative experience to the Dewar Appliance Servicing Limited team. Coming out of retirement to support her daughter and son-in-law, she has become the “Mumma Bear” of the team, offering guidance, wisdom, and a wonderful sense of humour that is appreciated by all.
In her spare time, Robyne enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, tending her garden, and caring for her dogs and chickens.
